Let’s tell the story of Future-Fit Academy through three lenses as outlined in the book Keys for Future-Fit Leadership – the thinking mind, the feeling bodymind, and the soul.
Through the first lens, the thinking mind, the Academy was a logical merging of skillsets and networks: Giles’ thought leadership, business transformation and coaching experience, and Hayley’s work in sector-based systemic change and social entrepreneurship.
Through the second lens, the feeling bodymind, the Academy is a creative expression of who we are whereby the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Through the third lens, the soul, the Academy emerged from a trust in life and following the threads that led us here. It wasn’t out of a need or a choice – we just followed what emerged, and our souls aligned.

To address today’s polycrisis requires a new way of seeing the world. It requires us to undertake the inner work of shifting our consciousness, in order to cultivate the wisdom needed to meet this monumental transition that humanity must make.
Mechanistic Materialism (MM) is the dominant worldview behind our polycrisis. Mechanistic: seeing the world as a machine – breaking it into parts to define, categorise and control. Materialism: treating only measurable matter as real, and separating mind from matter until the world feels devoid of meaning or inner life.
By creating a shift in our own hearts and minds, we can up-stretch our consciousness beyond MM and its lens of separateness. In its place, we can cultivate a quality of consciousness which we call Quantum Complexity (QC).
The QC worldview is a profound shift from the MM worldview, it doesn’t happen overnight. It involves a significant death-rebirth journey at a level of Self, and within our systems: organisations, collective systems of education, socio-economic, leadership and governance.
Guiding people and groups through transformational shifts in worldivew is at the heart of our work at the Future-Fit Academy.
